Runner
Department: Ball Park Operations
Location: Cincinnati Ohio
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Job Summary
The Runner position supports Ball Park Operations by providing setup during preseason and pre game, including tables, chairs, promotional items, stanchions, and other miscellaneous items. They also staff the Fan Zone Field and other interactive games in the Fan Zone. This position also assists “on’call” throughout games to assist anywhere needed. They will also assist in postgame and post-season tear down of items throughout the ballpark. This role is critical in ensuring the setup of the ballpark for game days and other large events at Great American Ball Park.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Must be 16 years old
Experience: None needed
Skills: Friendly, positive, willingness to work
Preferred (Desired) Qualifications
Preferred Requirement
Education: High School Graduate or GED
Experience: Customer Service

Primary Job Duties amp; Responsibilities
Duty | % of Time
Working Fan Zone Field and other interactives: 40%
Pregame setup and tear down: 25%
Promotional item setup and distribution: 25%
“On-call” assistance: 10%
Reporting Structure
This role reports directly to the Runner Supervisor and Ball Park Operations Coordinator.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
- Exposure to outdoor environments including heat, cold, rain, wind, direct sunlight
- Must be able to work at least 41 Reds Home Games
