(Blue Rose) is a certified HUBZone and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business supporting Federal customers with mission-focused technology, professional services, and operational support. We are building a team for the anticipated Department of State Global Mission Operations Support (GMOS) effort supporting the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology, Enterprise Applications Directorate, Office of Consular Systems and Technology.

About the Role

Plan, test, deploy, monitor, validate, and report operating system, application, firmware, antivirus, and security patches across enterprise Windows and Linux environments. This position supports the Department of State Consular Affairs global information technology environment, which includes domestic and overseas facilities, on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, databases, and enterprise support services. This is a contingent position based on contract award and final customer requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and maintain patch-management platforms such as MECM, WSUS, Red Hat Satellite, or equivalent enterprise tools.

• Plan and coordinate patch cycles, emergency patches, maintenance windows, pilot groups, testing, deployment, rollback, and validation.

• Deploy approved operating system, application, firmware, antivirus, and security updates across servers and workstations.

• Monitor compliance, investigate failed deployments, troubleshoot endpoint or server issues, and coordinate remediation with technical teams.

• Produce patch status, vulnerability, exception, deployment-success, and compliance reports for technical and Government stakeholders.

• Maintain patch baselines, SOPs, schedules, testing records, change requests, and audit evidence.

• Support automation, vulnerability-management integration, and continuous improvement of patch deployment and reporting processes.

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of patch management, endpoint management, or vulnerability-remediation experience.

• Hands-on proficiency with MECM, WSUS, Red Hat Satellite, or comparable patch-distribution platforms.

• Experience with automated patch deployment, compliance reporting, troubleshooting, rollback, and antivirus management.

• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux enterprise environments, vulnerability management, and change control.

• Strong documentation, reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting more than 10,000 enterprise servers and workstations or similarly large environments.

• Microsoft, Red Hat, Security+, ITIL, or vulnerability-management certification.

• Experience integrating patching with ServiceNow, scanning tools, automation platforms, or compliance dashboards.
