Job description

Position: System / Linux Administrator

Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)

Duration: 8+ months

Responsibilities
  • 8โ€“10 years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in Production environments.
  • Manage day-to-day administration of the Unix/Linux server infrastructure, with primary focus on Red Hat Linux environments.
  • Perform system configuration, account administration, OS maintenance, and lifecycle support for physical and virtual servers.
  • Ensure platform availability and operational readiness across enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Support monitoring, patching, and vulnerability remediation in accordance with contract and operational requirements.
  • Experience with OpenShift or enterprise Kubernetes distributions.
  • Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Linux systems administration.
  • Wintel Support โ€“ Manage Active Directory, User Accounts, Group Policies (GPO), DNS, and DHCP services.
  • Perform changes related to DR, Data center moves, capacity management, and other Wintel platform changes (server configuration, upgrades, repairs).
  • Recommend and execute server hardware and software configuration, installation, patching, integration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Complete and maintain all necessary documentation pertaining to the environment, policies, procedures, and other assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with other service providers to minimize service interruptions in the infrastructure, taking necessary corrective actions approved by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
