Be There When Help Is Needed Most

Join the American Red Cross as a Disaster Action Team (DAT) Responder and provide immediate, on-the-ground support to individuals and families affected by home fires, floods, and other local emergencies. Youโ€™ll be part of a team that delivers compassion, comfort, and critical resources when disaster strikes.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Respond to local disasters, primarily home fires
  • Provide emotional support, emergency supplies, and recovery resources
  • Work alongside other Red Cross volunteers and first responders
  • Represent the Red Cross with professionalism and empathy

What Youโ€™ll Need:

  • Compassion and a calm presence in stressful situations
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to complete Red Cross training
  • Reliable access to transportation for local responses
  • Physical ability to respond in person during your selected shiftโ€”day, night, or weekend
