Monday to Friday 8-5 weekend nights as needed for any events
Must have Valid State of Florida Drivers License.
Must be able to successfully complete Background and Drug Screenings.

Recycling Coordinator:

Recycling Coordinators, who educate the community and promote proper recycling to reduce waste and protect resources.
develops, implements, and manages recycling, waste reduction, and hazardous waste education programs for businesses, multifamily communities, and schools. This position conducts presentations, audits, and facility tours, while building partnerships that expand participation in recycling programs. The Specialist ensures compliance with state and local requirements, tracks program performance, and promotes community engagement through outreach, education, and technical support. Essential Functions 1. Program Development & Compliance Researches, designs, and implements innovative recycling, hazardous waste, and waste reduction programs in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations. Monitors and evaluates programs through data collection, audits, and analysis to establish performance benchmarks and identify improvements. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and safety procedures. 2. Education, Tours & Outreach Provides educational presentations, classroom programs, and facility tours for schools, businesses, and community groups. Represents the County at community events and special programs to increase awareness and participation in recycling and hazardous waste initiatives. 3 Business, Multifamily & Community Engagement. Establishes and maintains partnerships with businesses, multifamily housing managers, and educational institutions to encourage participation in recycling and waste reduction programs. Conducts on-site recycling audits and provides technical assistance to improve collection, reduce contamination, and meet program goals. Develops and supports internal County recycling and hazardous waste initiatives in collaboration with supervisors, custodial staff, and volunteers. 4. Research, Tracking & Reporting Conducts research using division records, Online databases, government sources, and surveys to assess and enhance programs. Designs, distributes, and analyzes surveys to measure awareness, satisfaction, and performance outcomes. Prepares reports, maintains records, and tracks progress toward division goals and state recycling benchmarks. 5. Organization, Communication & Independent Work Plans and coordinates daily work, balancing multiple projects and deadlines. Demonstrates flexibility in responding to emerging needs, outreach opportunities, or regulatory changes. Works independently, demonstrating initiative, strong communication skills, and the ability to self-motivate to meet program metrics and objectives. Strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable working independently and meeting goals ( monthly and annual metrics) .Flexible and adaptable in managing multiple projects. Able to motivate others and build positive relationships with businesses, schools, and community partner.
