Purpose: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. A rebar production worker at Nucor Rebar Fabrication will bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customersโ€™ orders. Youโ€™ll work with a mentor who will train you on safely using all machinery. Candidates must be able to work in an outdoor environment. Previous work in construction and landscaping is a huge plus; candidates with previous trades experience tend to be successful in the role and may have a significant opportunity for advancement within the organization. Minimum Requirements: โ€ข Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future โ€ข Must be age 18 or over โ€ข Due to the operating conditions of the position, this is a safety-sensitive position, you must pass a drug test, including THC Minimum Qualifications: โ€ข Must be able to work overtime when required โ€ข Able to read and comprehend basic safety and operational instructions โ€ข Able to perform basic math for accurate bar measurements Demands: โ€ข Some heavy lifting may be necessary โ€ข Working conditions can be noisy/ dusty/ hot/ cold
