Job description

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Green America Recycling (GAR) team in Buffalo, IA. As a Production Supervisor with Green America Recycling, you are responsible for the direct supervision of production employees, contractors, and outside haulers. You will optimize plant equipment, troubleshoot production and quality issues, and drive site safety and housekeeping performance.

About the Role
Responsibilities:
Directly responsible for the safety and well-being of all personnel on-site. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Industry, and Company Safety and such as PPE and housekeeping standards.
Must maintain compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.
Communicate daily objectives, coordinate 12-hour shift activities, and help manage equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
Set clear performance expectations, provide support, and manage the training and skill development of all employees.
Maintain documentation for workplace inspections, risk assessments, and task training. Assist management with Root Cause Analysis and incident investigations.
Work with the Site/Production Manager on best practices and provide coverage when needed.
About You
We Require:
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience (manufacturing, plant, or mining environment preferred).
High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills; proficient in computer software; ability to build rapport with internal and external teams.
Ability to work indoors/outdoors in various weather conditions. Must support a 24/7 schedule including 12-hour shifts (days, nights, weekends) and on-call responsibilities.
Must display strong employability skills (attendance, attitude, and job performance).
