Overview

Are you ready to join a growing team?

CTG is seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to lead the design, development, modernization, and support of enterprise-scale applications. This role requires a highly skilled full-stack engineer with expertise in .NET technologies, Angular, SQL Server, Azure cloud migration, and application architecture. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor development teams, and drive complex application initiatives from concept through deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using ASP.NET WebForms, .NET MVC, .NET Core, C#, Angular, and SQL Server.
  • Lead application modernization efforts, including Azure cloud migrations and legacy application refactoring.
  • Architect scalable solutions utilizing Entity Framework Core, REST APIs, and modern software design patterns.
  • Perform SQL Server performance analysis, tuning, and optimization.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD), unit testing, and automated quality assurance practices.
  • Lead technical design sessions, code reviews, and development activities across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, infrastructure teams, and vendors to deliver strategic technology solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance across project teams.
  • Drive project planning, technical estimates, solution design, and delivery milestones.
  • Promote development standards, clean coding practices, and application security requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of software development experience.
  • 10+ years of experience with .NET Framework 4.8 and C#.
  • 5+ years of experience with .NET Core.
  • 5+ years of Angular development experience, including PrimeNG or Kendo UI.
  • 5+ years of ASP.NET WebForms experience.
  • 5+ years of SQL Server performance tuning and optimization.
  • 3+ years of Web API development experience.
  • 3–5 years of Entity Framework Core experience.
  • 3+ years of unit testing and mocking framework experience.
  • 2+ years of GitLab experience.
  • 3+ years of Azure cloud migration and application modernization experience.
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles, dependency injection, and clean coding practices.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and project coordination experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation.
  • Experience with DocuSign and FileNet integrations.
  • Banking or financial services industry experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise application architecture and integrated systems.
  • Ability to lead complex projects while managing multiple priorities.
Education
  • Associate's degree and a minimum of 6 years of systems analysis/application development experience; or
  • A combined minimum of 8 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 6 years of systems analysis/application development experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
