What is a recruiter?

Recruiters are professionals who help organizations find and hire suitable candidates for job openings. They may work internally within a company's human resources department or externally for staffing agencies. Recruiters source candidates, review resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate the hiring process. Their goal is to match qualified individuals with roles that fit their skills and the employer's needs. Effective recruiters build strong networks and maintain relationships with both employers and job seekers.

What do recruiters do?

The primary role of a recruiter is to match job seekers with job vacancies based on a candidate’s credentials and a company’s needs. A recruiter seeks out qualified candidates, then serves as a liaison between the candidate and the company to meet the demands of both parties regarding job duties and compensation. Recruiters save companies time by weeding out unqualified or unfit job seekers, and they help job seekers by connecting them with opportunities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a recruiter, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Recruiter, strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of talent acquisition strategies, and a background in human resources or business are essential, often supported by a bachelor’s degree. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, and HR certifications such as SHRM or PHR are commonly required. Excellent communication, active listening, and relationship-building abilities help recruiters stand out in engaging both clients and candidates. These skills are crucial for matching the right talent to organizational needs and ensuring a smooth hiring process.

What are some common challenges recruiters face when sourcing candidates, and how can they overcome them?

Recruiters often face challenges such as finding qualified candidates for hard-to-fill roles, standing out to top talent in a competitive market, and managing a high volume of applications efficiently. To overcome these hurdles, recruiters leverage creative sourcing strategies, utilize advanced applicant tracking systems, and build strong employer branding to attract passive candidates. Additionally, maintaining clear communication with hiring managers and regularly updating sourcing techniques can help ensure a smoother recruitment process.

Job description

Bilingual Recruiter – High-Volume Blue-Collar Staffing (Facebook Recruiting Specialist)

Location: Irving, TX

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 annually

Position Overview

This is not a traditional recruiting role.

We are looking for an energetic, results-driven High Volume Recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced staffing environment and has a proven track record of recruiting blue-collar talent. The ideal candidate is highly resourceful, proactive, and knows how to consistently generate qualified applicants through Facebook recruiting, community networking, referrals, and traditional recruiting platforms.

This individual should have a strong presence within local Facebook job groups and online communities, with the ability to leverage those networks to attract warehouse, manufacturing, production, logistics, and light industrial talent. They should be passionate about building relationships, creating talent pipelines, and filling positions quickly without relying solely on job boards.

Please note: As part of this role, the recruiter will spend the first two hours of each workday onsite at one of Arrow Workforce Solutions' client locations in the Irving, TX area. During this time, they will support onsite staffing operations by assisting with hiring initiatives, onboarding new hires, addressing employee attendance and payroll inquiries, engaging with associates and client leadership, and fostering a strong client partnership. After completing onsite responsibilities, the recruiter will return to the Arrow Workforce Solutions office to continue sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and managing the full-cycle recruitment process for the remainder of the day.

Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for high-volume warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, production, and light industrial positions.
  • Build and maintain a continuous pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Recruit through Facebook Job Groups, Marketplace, community pages, and other social media platforms to generate a consistent flow of applicants.
  • Maintain and actively engage with local Facebook recruiting groups and online communities.
  • Create compelling job advertisements and recruiting campaigns that drive applicant volume.
  • Source candidates using multiple platforms, including Indeed, ZipRecruiter, referrals, networking, community partnerships, and other recruiting channels.
  • Recruit, screen, interview, and communicate effectively with both English- and Spanish-speaking candidates.
  • Build relationships within the local Hispanic community to expand recruiting efforts and increase referrals.
  • Conduct phone screens, interviews, and candidate assessments to ensure quality hires.
  • Coordinate interviews, offers, onboarding, background checks, I-9 verification, E-Verify, and all new hire documentation.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Follow up consistently with candidates to improve attendance, reduce no-shows, and maintain an active talent pipeline.
  • Organize hiring events, job fairs, community outreach initiatives, and recruiting campaigns to increase applicant flow.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience while meeting weekly recruiting, submission, interview, and hiring targets.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (Required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of high-volume staffing or agency recruiting experience, preferably within warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, production, or light industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated success filling blue-collar positions in a fast-paced staffing environment.
  • Strong expertise using Facebook Recruiting, Facebook Job Groups, Marketplace, and community-based sourcing strategies.
  • Established network of local Facebook groups and online communities that consistently generate qualified candidates.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through Indeed, ZipRecruiter, referrals, social media, networking, and other recruiting platforms.
  • Strong understanding of candidate pipeline management and recruiting metrics.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Microsoft Office, and onboarding platforms.
  • Knowledge of I-9 verification, E-Verify, background checks, and employment compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously while meeting aggressive hiring goals.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
