Compensation for this position is expected to range between $24.00 and $26.00 per hour, in alignment with what California Baptist University (CBU) reasonably anticipates paying for this role. The final rate may vary depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and prevailing market conditions. Position Summary Information
Summary
Assist in managing, developing, and directing various student activities including intramural sports, recreation center services, and other Campus Recreation programs that reflect the Christian values of California Baptist University.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
1. Assist in the planning and implementation of comprehensive Campus Recreation programs.
2. Provide oversight of various intramural sports programs both on and off campus.
3. Provide oversight of Esports programs including leagues and tournaments.
4. Provide oversight of the department's intramural equipment inventory and purchasing of all intramural-related items.
5. Assist in establishing and implementing short and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures regarding intramural sports.
6. Assist in the recruitment, employment, training, supervision, and evaluation of student interns, intramural referees, and graduate assistants.
7. Assist in the development and management of appropriate departmental budgets.
8. Monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness and effect changes required for improvement.
9. Develop strategic annual marketing plans to further student involvement in intramural sports programs and provide oversight and execution of such plans.
10. Assist with the development and maintenance of intramural policies and procedures.
11. Maintain scheduled office hours with the requirement of a flexible schedule of availability at night and on weekends.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position could be responsible for assigning work and/or giving direction to part-time Student Workers, in order to complete office work assignments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate fitness equipment, computer keyboard or other office equipment. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Requires regular physical activity; the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and stand and/or walk for more than six (6) hours per day. Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
