Job Description Summary:
The Recreational Therapist develops, coordinates, and provides hands-on evaluation and facilitation of therapeutic activities to our health and wellness customers, on an outpatient basis.Responsibilities And Duties:
45%Hands-on Facilitation 1. Provides hands-on programming to retail customers in delivering recreational therapy services, including clients transfers for adaptive programming as needed 2. Coordinates schedules and programming with facilities and professionals to ensure smooth implementation of programs and activities

Program Development, Training, and Coordination 1. Responsible for developing recreational curriculum and programs, with emphasis on central Ohio region 2. Develops teaching guides and educational materials for use in hospital and community programs 3. Oversees and trains volunteer staff for all related programs and events, assists with customer safety 4. Reviews and updates programs and materials annually or as needed 5. Coordinates and communicates with incoming and returning clients to assess interests and program participation readiness

Promote program and support local community groups, rehab facilities, and central Ohio hospitals looking to partner with OhioHealth services 3. Assists program managers and directors in coordinating and implementing fundraising events 4. In conjunction with Neuroscience program managers and directors, works with OhioHealth Foundation to implement and continue ongoing fundraising activities and grant writing.
