Job description

Pay: $18/hour + Shift Differentials
Available Shifts
1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm
2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm (+$1/hr evening differential)
3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am (+$2/hr overnight differential)
24 hrs/week (0.6 FTE)
Every other weekend availability required
Are you passionate about helping individuals reclaim their lives from addiction? As a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) at Recovery Centers of America (RCA), you will be an integral part of the patient care team, providing direct support to individuals in treatment for substance use disorders. Your role is vital in ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment where patients can focus on their recovery journey.
What You'll Do
As a Recovery Support Specialist at RCA, you will:
  • Monitor patient activities, provides safety checks throughout shift, completes documentation to include but not limited to, rounds sheet, End of Shift reports; records patient behavior.
  • Participate in direct patient care including ensuring patient safety, interacting therapeutically. Assists in the activities of patients daily schedule.
  • Partner with Clinical staff to conduct a welcoming New Patient Orientation
  • Aid and instruct patients in facilitation and presentation of the RCA Clinical Curriculum with corresponding notes in medical records system.
  • Understand the principles of 12-Step Programs and how they apply to the recovery process.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in addiction services or behavioral health preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with behavior modification techniques and 12-step recovery principles.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions.
