Job description

About PlanITROI:
Since 2001, PlanITROI has been a global leader in Reverse Logistics, IT Asset Disposition, Asset Recovery, Repair, Refurbishment, and Lifecycle Services for OEMs, retailers, enterprises, educational institutions, and businesses of all sizes.
Today, we are building something bigger: the world's greatest Repair and Refurbishment company for ITAD and Lifecycle Services. At the heart of that mission is our Center of Excellence in Youngsville, North Carolina, where returned, retired, and idle IT devices are transformed into high-quality, re-certified, affordable technology solutions. The work we do gives computers, laptops, tablets, and other devices a second life and gives businesses, students, families, and communities greater access to the technology they need.
Our clients trust us to protect their data, recover value from their retired assets, meet the highest standards of compliance, and support the circular economy. But our mission goes beyond processing equipment. We are building a future-ready operation powered by quality, accountability, innovation, automation, training, and people who take pride in doing meaningful work.
At PlanITROI, a retired device is not the end of the story. It can become someone else's opportunity.
We are looking for teammates who want to be part of building that future.
Position Overview:
PlanITROI is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Material Handler to join our growing Center of Excellence production team in Youngsville, NC. This role is an important part of our mission to build the world's greatest repair and refurbishment operation. As a Warehouse Material Handler, you help ensure that laptops, desktops, and IT equipment are efficiently handled, sorted, organized, and moved throughout our facility so production and logistics operations run smoothly and effectively.
This is more than a warehouse role. It is a flow-of-operations role, a precision role, and a mission-critical step in PlanITROI's Lifecycle Services process. Every piece of equipment you handle supports our commitment to operational excellence, inventory accuracy, environmental responsibility, and delivering affordable technology to customers, students, families, businesses, and organizations around the world.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and detail-focused, with hands-on warehouse experience and a basic understanding of computer hardware components. You thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, take pride in accuracy and efficiency, and understand the importance of keeping operations moving without disruption. You want to be part of a team that is building the future of ITAD, refurbishment, and affordable technology. This is a Temp-to-Perm role with a 90-day conversion opportunity.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $13 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and sort incoming technology assets, including laptops, desktops, monitors, and related IT equipment.
  • Support daily warehouse operations by maintaining accurate inventory counts and ensuring timely movement of materials.
  • Accurately sort materials by vendor, model, and serial number to maintain organized inventory flow. Identify, label, and track assets through internal inventory management systems.
  • Inspect and handle computer hardware to identify model types, specifications, and condition.
  • Stage materials for departments such as Receiving, Audit, Repair, and Shipping. Operate pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Follow company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling environment.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware (Laptops, Notebooks, Tablets, Servers, etc.)
  • Experience in sorting and tracking materials preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy. Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer literacy; ideally, experience in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to use bar-code scanners and inventory systems.
  • Forklift Certification or experience desired.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. safely and frequently.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods in a warehouse setting throughout the shift.
  • Experience in ITAD, electronics, or computer refurbishing environments preferred.
PlanITROI Core Values:
  • Driven & Confident
  • Think Win/Win Always
  • Own IT/Solve IT Personal Growth leads to Professional Growth
  • Innovate & Revolutionize the World
  • Proud to be Part of the PlanITROI Team

The expected salary for this position is $13.00 per hour. Upon conversion, PlanITROI offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and more. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity at all levels of the organization.
