Position: Community Liaison
Job Type: Full-Time / Exempt
Shift Details: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm
Work Location: Crisis - Peoria Recovery Response Center (Retreat); Peoria, AZ
Salary/Hourly Wage: $55,000 - $65,000/annually
Summary of Job: The Community Liaison position is responsible for creating instrumental connections between Recovery Innovations and the communities we serve. The Community Liaison will cultivate strong relationships, advance the organization’s mission, and ensure effective communication between the community and Recovery Innovations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Community Engagement:
    • Serve as a liaison between the organization and the local community, cultivating positive relationships and maintaining a strong community presence.
    • Partner with community members to understand their needs, challenges, and aspirations, and convey these insights to the organization to guide program development and improvements.
    • Offer information and referrals to community members seeking help or resources, linking them with suitable services or programs both within and outside the organization.
    • Plan and organize community events, workshops, and meetings to enhance community engagement, education, and awareness of available services.
  2. Compliance amp; Risk Management:
    • Collect and maintain data on community demographics, concerns, and feedback to support informed decision-making.
    • Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
    • Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies and procedures as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
  3. Cross Functional Collaboration:
    • Work with local community organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for partnership and collaboration on community initiatives.
    • Represent community needs and concerns within the organization, ensuring that their voices are heard and factored into decision-making processes.
    • Facilitate clear and accessible communication between the organization and community members, providing information, updates, and resources effectively.
  4. Additional Duties:
    • Travel as needed

  1. Education/Licenses:
    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in the area, such as social work, community development, public relations, or a related discipline, is preferred but not always required. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

    • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive community partnership experience.

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support shared outcomes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Understanding of behavioral health policy, funding streams, and public health initiatives, with the ability to effectively represent organizational priorities and community needs.
  • Excellent computer skills that translate to proficiency in Microsoft 360 and ability to gather extensive research for organizational initiatives.

  1. Driving Requirements:
    • If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations driving policy.
    • If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed.
  2. Miscellaneous Requirement(s):
    • Must be 18 years or older
    • Ability to travel based on business need
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.
