Job description

Job Summary:

Assists in the development and implementation of best practices, policies and procedures within the enterprise operations of underpayment identification and recoveries. Analyzes contractual underpayments, identifying root causes, and delivering actionable insights that drive financial improvement. Leverages Power BI and advanced analytics to develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that help leadership monitor performance, identify trends, and mitigate revenue leakage across the Adventist Health system.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate's/Technical degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Three years' technical experience: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Develops, maintains, and optimizes Power BI dashboards and reports to support performance tracking, workflow monitoring, and outcomes measurement. Conducts in-depth analyses across Adventist Health markets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Creates ad hoc reports and presentations that communicate insights and performance updates. Translates complex data into meaningful insights that support leadership in achieving financial and operational goals.
  • Conducts detailed root cause analyses to identify workflow breakdowns, system issues, or process gaps contributing to underpayments. Documents findings and present clear recommendations aimed at preventing recurrence and improving operational performance. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance reimbursement accuracy and reduce avoidable underpayments.
  • Analyzes contractual underpayments and payer trends to identify anomalies, patterns, and opportunities for revenue recovery. Monitors and tracks payer behavior to provide insights that drive upstream revenue cycle improvements. Partners with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate interpretation of payer contract terms and expected reimbursement logic.
  • Collaborates with revenue recovery unit leadership to create and distribute structured meeting agendas that align priorities and drive actionable outcomes. Communicates analytical findings and recommendations.
  • Documents meeting outcomes, tracks progress on action items, and ensures follow-up for timely completion. Supports data validation efforts and workflow optimization to improve accuracy, efficiency, and overall recovery outcomes.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
