Job description

Title: Disaster Recovery Technician 

Location: Reno, NV


We help homeowners restore their homes and peace of mind after unexpected damage. As a Disaster Recovery Technician with Paul Davis Restoration, you'll be one of the first people on scene after water, fire, or mold damage. Working alongside an experienced team, you'll help protect homes and businesses by removing damaged materials, setting up specialized drying equipment, and beginning the restoration process. Every day is different, and every project is an opportunity to make a real difference for someone during a difficult time.


What does a Disaster Recovery Technician do?

  • Serve others within your community in their time of need
  • Make a difference for others that have had a disaster strike their property
  • Work hard and take pride in completing projects (i.e. mitigating flood and fire damage)
  • Be empathetic and show a sense of urgency while communicating through modern technology


Job Responsibilities

  • Perform restoration and cleanup services (including water mitigation, mold remediation, and basic demolition) under supervision
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout each project
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work vehicle and equipment
  • Assist with setting up equipment, temporary structures, and preparing materials for removal
  • Clean and care for tools and equipment used on the job
  • Participate in an on-call schedule and remain reachable by phone as needed
  • Support warehouse and facility tasks when required


Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent 
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Written and verbal fluency in English 
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work nights/weekends and overtime, if needed


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds frequently
  • Exposure to potentially extreme weather conditions
  • Standing, lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, for 8-12+ hours per day
