Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills help you coordinate teams and manage client expectations effectively. Job description

Project Manager – Reconstruction

Location: North Texas (McKinney / Celina / Prosper area)

About the Role

Our Client is looking for a Project Manager to join a growing North Texas reconstruction team. This is a hybrid field/office role: you'll spend meaningful time at job sites handling permitting, inspections, subcontractor coordination, and property access, and return to the office as business needs dictate. This is not a remote position, and it's not an 8–5 desk job — it's built around getting projects done right, on schedule, and on budget.

Leadership is intentionally investing in this role now, before the team is stretched too thin, to build bench strength and keep project quality high as the branch grows.

What You'll Do
  • Own reconstruction projects from start to finish — scheduling, budget management, and overall project execution
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors across multiple active jobs
  • Handle permitting and inspections, and manage property access logistics
  • Keep projects on budget and on schedule while maintaining strong customer communication
  • Work closely with estimators and the branch team to keep projects moving smoothly from estimate to completion
What We're Looking For
  • Solid, well-rounded project management background — reconstruction experience is preferred, but candidates with transferable experience from residential/commercial construction, roofing, or general contracting are encouraged to apply
  • Comfort managing subcontractors, schedules, inspections, budgets, and customers simultaneously across multiple projects
  • Permitting and inspection process experience is a plus, but not required — it's teachable
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • A stable work history and a clear, genuine reason for wanting to join Our Client (this matters a lot to us — see note below)
  • Location: candidates should be within roughly 30–40 minutes of the office (McKinney/Celina/Prosper area). Longer commutes (e.g., 1.5+ hours) are not a fit for this role.
Compensation & Perks
  • Approx. $88,000 base
  • Company vehicle
  • $400/month gas allowance
  • Toll tag
  • Company phone
  • Company laptop
A Note on What We Value

We're hiring slow and being deliberate about who joins this team. We're not just looking for a resume match — we want people who are genuinely committed for the long haul, understand and are motivated by the day-to-day realities of the role (including field time), and aren't primarily driven by a short-term pay bump. Job stability, a clear "why now" for the move, and enthusiasm for the hybrid field/office nature of the work all matter as much as the technical background.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to talk.
