Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend site inspections and generate detailed scopes of work using Procore & EB (experience preferred)
  • When provided, carefully examine blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to understand scope of work
  • Determine quantities and costs of all necessary materials, labor, equipment and subcontractors
  • Obtain quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
  • Analyze quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment with current market pricing and determine the most competitive and reliable options
  • Identify potential site hazards during inspections
  • Contemplate means and methods required to perform the project/work
  • Ensure all work meets industry-leading SLA standards. e.g. estimate turnaround times, conversion of estimates into revenue, etc.
  • Work closely with account management team to liaise with clients to explain estimates and scopes of work
  • Occasionally attend client pitches and presentations to convert estimates to revenue
  • Establish and expand local subcontractor and supplier lists/relationships
  • Take ownership of assigned projects from start to finish.
  • Provide regular communication using estimating management software.
  • Attend weekly sales/estimating meeting to ensure conversion of estimates into revenue

Key Selection Criteria:
  • Minimum 3-5 years' estimating experience
  • Proven drive, energy, and motivation.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
  • Desire to potentially work towards a partnership.
  • Knowledge of construction trades and industry standards.
  • Core Logic Procore experience.
  • Prior occupied space reconstruction experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
  • Current motor vehicle license.
