POSITION SUMMARY - HYBRID REQUIREMENT (Sioux Falls, SD)

The Fintech Ops Data Specialist supports daily reconciliation activities across National Products, ensuring that all financial activity posted to bank accounts aligns with cardholder transactions and network funds movement. This role operates in a fastpaced environment and provides critical oversight to maintain accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data across multiple systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform daily reconciliation of National Products accounts across multiple financial systems, including payment gateways, digital wallets, card processors, banks, and internal ledgers.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies to maintain aging items under the 90-day aging standard.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining accurate program funds flows.
  • Support team members in resolving complex reconciliation issues for existing products.
  • Work with Deposit Operation team to resolve outstanding ACH items.
  • Partner with the data warehouse team to ensure accurate reporting for daily transaction activity.
  • Verify that new products are in the flat files and reflected accurately in the daily recon reporting.
  • Utilize existing SQL queries to troubleshoot issues and identify efficiencies.
  • Analyze data in the flat files & understand how it affects operations and the overall products within National Products.
  • Work with Processors, Program Managers and Database team on recon difference resolution.
  • Assist with implementation efforts for new products or processes.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others as subject matter expert when it comes to FinTech Reconciliation.
  • Prepare and provide requested documentation or information for Audit requests.
  • Completes special projects and performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school degree or GED required
  • College degree in business related field preferred.
  • 5 yearsโ€™ related experience required.
  • Experience in the Prepaid, Payments, financial industry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks daily.
  • Understanding of the funds flow life cycle.
