Shift: Full-Time Mid-Shift
Hours: 11:00AM - 11:30PM
Pay Range: $62.78- $78.63 per hour, depending on education and years of experience. Shift differentials apply.
Job Summary:
Coordinates a patient-focused team in providing direct and collaborative health care in a variety of clinical settings designed to promote and restore optimal health across the life span. Utilizes all components of the nursing process in providing care that reflects an understanding of individual, cultural, and religious diversities and needs, and recognition of patient rights. Utilizes knowledge and expertise in case management to provide comprehensive, coordinated, seamless care to individuals and aggregate groups. Coordinates, integrates, and facilitates the patient/provider relationship along the continuum of care.
Responsibilities:
- Review the pre-operative checklist. Confirms it is complete and accurate and signs as confirmation it has been reviewed.
- Prepares OR rooms as necessary including the proper functioning equipment and supplies to provide a clean and appropriate environment.
- Supervises and directs patient care in an individual operating room.
- Monitors the practice of unlicensed assistive personal.
- "Scrubs" in as appropriate. Circulates as appropriate if assigned.
- Performs scrub duties as necessary.
- Performs circulating duties with efficiency and speed as per policy and process. Assists the scrub nurse as necessary.
Requirements:
- Active NYS RN license
- Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Med/Surg
- Minimum 1 year experience in the Operating Room
- American Heart Association BCLS required
