Collins & Lacy, P.C., an established law firm in Columbia, South Carolina, is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized individual who enjoys providing exceptional service while supporting the daily operations of a busy law firm. The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff and plays an essential role in maintaining a welcoming and efficient office environment.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced professional setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to ensuring the office operates smoothly. The Receptionist will work closely with attorneys and staff while managing front desk responsibilities and assisting with conference room coordination for depositions, mediations, and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Greet clients, visitors, and vendors while providing outstanding customer service
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages
  • Prepare conference rooms before depositions, mediations, and meetings, ensuring rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Clean and reset conference rooms following depositions, mediations, and meetings
  • Coordinate and post conference room schedules for meetings, depositions, and mediations
  • Set up conference rooms with requested materials, beverages, and supplies
  • Assist with general administrative and office support duties as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service experience, preferably in a professional office environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to lift and carry office supplies and beverage cases as needed for conference room setup and stocking

Qualifications
