Join Our Team as a Receptionist!

The Receptionist ensures a welcoming and clean environment for staff and visitors by maintaining the front desk and lobby area of the office.

Education and experience requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Requires intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email
  • Previous experience in children and family services preferred

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
  • All KVC Kansas employees must be at least 21 years of age.

What you will do:

  • Office Operations: Manage daily opening/closing procedures, schedule conference rooms, and coordinate vendor services for office equipment maintenance.
  • Reception & Communication: Greet and sign in visitors, manage multi-line phone systems, and provide general clerical support including faxing as needed.
  • Mail & Documentation: Oversee incoming/outgoing mail processing, maintain the postage machine, and ensure the timely distribution of legal documents to staff.
  • Facility Care: Maintain a professional lobby and front desk environment, including regular sanitization of surfaces and toys and coordinating with the landlord for exterior safety.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the lead Administrative Assistant with specialized tasks and additional operational duties as requested.
