Receptionist - 89 Main Street, Middlebury
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Receptionist to serve as the welcoming "hub" of our 89 Main Street office. This role is essential to ensure our office is an inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors, clients, and staff. The Receptionist greets visitors, responds to inquiries from the public, provides information about the organization, and manages incoming calls and front-desk operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet visitors and clients warmly; provide basic information and direct them to the appropriate office or staff member
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls; take and relay accurate messages
  • Gather client/patient personal and insurance information
  • Collect, record, and process client payments
  • Manage appointment schedules, including shared office or conference space
  • Note appointment cancellations or changes
  • Notify staff of visitor arrivals
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties, including:
    • Opening, sorting, and distributing mail and parcels
    • Weighing, preparing, and mailing outgoing correspondence
    • Photocopying, collating, filing, and basic word processing
  • Assist with opening the office daily and securing the facility at the end of the business day
