Job description

Job Title: Active Ingredient Technician Monolayer

Duration: 10 Months

Location: Athens, GA

Pay Rate: $20/hour

Schedule: 40hrs/week, 10hrs/day, 4:00 AM–2:30 PM shift with overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Rabies vaccine required
  • Perform activities associated with preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment utilizing virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulations
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures during execution of processes
  • Assist with training and coaching of current and new employees on required skills
  • Complete/Review in‑process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintain technical data and support documentation
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalate production flow disturbances
  • Demonstrate visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives
  • Assess individual performance in regard to continuous improvement (AAI)
  • Participate and provide support to site projects and initiatives (including deviation and change control management)


Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Knowledge of clean room and aseptic techniques
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Basic math skills and equipment/automation troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other database software systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving ability


Education & Experience

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Biology degree or related field
  • One year or more of laboratory and/or manufacturing experience.
