About the role, Your Impact
Baxter & Woodman has a fulfilling opportunity for a Graduate Engineer I in our Houston or Katy, TX office.
What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job
  • Assist Project Manager(s) by providing engineering design support for various water, wastewater, and municipal projects.
  • Assist with preparation of construction plans and specifications; perform design calculations; conduct research; draft various engineering reports, feasibility studies, and bond applications; develop quantity takeoffs and cost estimates; evaluate municipal infrastructure systems; support permitting processes and ensure regulatory compliance; and review contractor submittals to provide technical support during construction.
  • Periodically conduct field investigations to verify site conditions and collect data. Attend on-site meetings with field project representatives and/or contractors.
  • Work assignments will include both independent tasks and collaborative efforts as part of a project team.

Education Requirement
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering

Must-haves, what you will bring
  • Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam in the state of Texas or be capable of passing, or transferring, exam within the first six months of employment.
  • Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman's service area (own transportation).
  • Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.

Compensation The pay range for this role is $74,000 to $77,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
