Overview

The Junior Analyst is an active member of the Publicis Root: Data & Insights Team. By supporting others on the Root team, the Junior Analyst will learn to aggregate, analyze and provide insights. They will assist with monitoring, optimizing and delivering data driven recommendations to our clients on a regular (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) and ad-hoc basis for both web and social reports. The candidate will also assist in supporting various market research projects as needed. Candidates will learn to think strategically to identify issues that need to be optimized or resolved.

This candidate willstrive to ensure that the data used in the analytics process is accurate and robust. The Junior Analyst will always work proactively to prioritize resources in order to deliver on the tasks assigned to them. 

Responsibilities

As a Junior Data Analyst, you will learn to: 

  • Work with client and account teams to define KPIs and provide strategic support through the use of data 
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally between various inter-agency teams to learn a variety of tools and skills 
  • Contribute to analytics projects of varying sizes and complexity, including report automation, data visualization, tool implementation requirements gathering and documentation, split testing, and ad hoc analysis 
  • Navigate Social platforms such as Meta and TikTok to extract key campaign data and generate insightful reports 
  • Create dashboards within Looker studio and Tableau Desktop 
  • Contribute to other regular reporting and dashboards (weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc requests) 
  • Designing various different research projects and proper market research methodology. 
  • Assist with efforts to optimize the client's digital experience.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with Web Analytics/Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with  Survey Monkey or other market research platforms
  • Familiarity with Meta Analytics, TikTok analytics, and other social platforms
  • A plus if you have had experience with Datastudio, Tableau, PowerBI, Qliksense or similar data visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • A passion for data and insights
  • He/she should be curious by nature: critically thinking about the business and marketing implications of data - how analytics can be used to inspire great creative, content and user experience
  • Someone that is self-motivated, curious, hard-working, excited by digital possibilities.
  • Someone who can both present well, but also build beautiful presentations
  • Recently graduated from an an undergraduate program (Marketing, Business, Statistics, Analysis, or other related degrees considered an asset)

Additional InformationSalary  Transparency matters to us. The salary range for this position is CAD $60,000 - CAD $65,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data.
