Job description

Are you a recent accounting graduate or someone looking to start a career in finance? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our growing finance team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance while working in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

The Accounting Assistant provides important clerical and technical support to the finance department and works closely with the Controller and other team members on a variety of accounting functions.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll gain exposure to many areas of accounting and finance, including:

  • Downloading bank transactions and maintaining financial spreadsheets
  • Running daily customer billing processes
  • Submitting customer invoices through online portals
  • Maintaining customer sales tax exemption certificates
  • Managing certificates of insurance documentation
  • Assisting with business license renewals
  • Supporting online sales tax filings
  • Assisting with finance tasks such as:
    • Cash applications
    • Customer refunds
    • Account reconciliations
  • Helping with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred OR
  • 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance-related experience
