The Job Details: Working closely with Supervisors, Customer Service, Logistics, Warehouse Operations and the local USCS management team. The Shipping Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all shipping and receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time. Gather and maintain all data and records related to shipping and receiving activities. This individual will consistently contribute to USCS's key performance areas, including sales, customer satisfaction, cost controls, productivity, accuracy, safety, and sanitation, while maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Assist in meeting shipping and receiving requirements, in building good customer relationships, and ensuring that all requests are responded to in the highest professional manner.
  • Check drivers in and updates the schedule as required.
  • Prepare paperwork for the dock to receive or load-out trucks.
  • Distribute documentation to the appropriate party.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all shipping and receiving documents.
  • Assure that receiving counts match purchase orders, bills of lading, or driver's documentation and that shipping counts and/or take weights match delivery ticket requirements.
  • Prepare delivery tickets.
  • Distribute copies of receiving paperwork to customers while filing other copies and confirm this activity on the computer.
  • Process Drivers and driver's loads in and out of the warehouse.
  • Input of all receiving information into the computer.
  • Confirmation of all shipment documents entering/leaving the warehouse via the warehouse management system.
  • Working with the warehouse Supervision team to assign drivers (loads) dock doors.
  • Record driver arrival and departure times on daily schedule.
  • Manual collating of various paperwork.
  • Organize workstation and ensure workspace is clean for the incoming shift.
  • Get bills of lading to truck drivers for signatures.
  • Log all pallet transactions into the computer.

What We Are Looking For:
Education
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience
  • 1 to 3 years preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • PC, leadership and planning skills are helpful.
  • Experience in AS400, SAP, Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse paperwork is preferred.
