Job Overview
The Receiving Manager oversees the daily operations of the receiving department, ensuring the accurate and timely intake of goods. This includes supervising the receiving team, verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting and documenting items, and addressing any discrepancies. The manager will maintain inventory records, ensure proper storage, and collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and shipping, to keep operations running smoothly. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and organizational skills are essential for ensuring efficient and effective receiving processes.
What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:
  • Ensure daily activities are completed.
  • Ensure all personnel are adhering to warehouse procedures.
  • Ensure all personnel are adhering to company procedures, proper material handling techniques, proper rotation practices and safety requirements
  • Maintain employees' hours daily - monitor overtime.
  • Ensure working areas are maintained for next shift.
  • Maintain the safety, quality, and legality of food products.

Things you need to be able to do:
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to follow directions and meet deadlines and be able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must have a complete understanding of all aspects of shift operation. Pallet jack certification and forklift certification are recommended
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Carry up to 50 lbs. Push/Pull up to 30 lbs. of force. Ascend and descend a step with a height of 10 in. From the floor.
  • Able to work in cold environment for an extended period of time
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to reach bend.

  • Microsoft Office
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience.
  • Must have a complete understanding of all aspects of shift operation.
