Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receiving/Pricing Manager to lead all receiving, pricing, and inventory accuracy functions within our store. This position is responsible for ensuring all merchandise is accurately received, properly priced, and maintained throughout the sales floor and stockroom. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

The Receiving/Pricing Manager plays a critical role in maintaining pricing integrity, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency. This individual will oversee product receiving procedures, manage pricing updates and promotional changes, and ensure all pricing displayed throughout the store matches the pricing system and approved company programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all daily receiving activities, including verifying shipments, inspecting merchandise, and processing inventory accurately.
  • Ensure all products are properly ticketed, labeled, and entered into inventory and pricing systems.
  • Maintain and verify accurate pricing on merchandise throughout the store, regularly auditing product pricing for compliance and accuracy.
  • Oversee the execution of all price changes, markdowns, clearance programs, and promotional pricing.
  • Ensure promotional, advertised, and sale prices are accurately entered into the pricing system and reflected correctly at the point of sale.
  • Conduct routine pricing audits to identify and correct discrepancies between shelf tags, signage, inventory records, and POS pricing.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure pricing updates and promotions are executed accurately and on schedule.
  • Monitor inventory levels and investigate receiving, inventory, or pricing discrepancies.
  • Work directly with vendors and suppliers regarding product pricing, deliveries, shortages, damaged goods, and returns.
  • Supervise, train, and develop receiving and pricing team members while maintaining productivity and accuracy standards.
  • Maintain organized receiving and stockroom areas that support efficient product flow and inventory control.
  • Generate and review inventory, pricing, and receiving reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and loss prevention procedures.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in retail receiving, inventory control, pricing management, or related operations required.
  • Supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory and pricing systems.
