SALARY: Starting salary: $25/h + depending on experience
Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Material Coordinator for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona (NSWCCO), supporting the Navy Division.
The Material Coordinator shall provide logistical\material coordination support for the U.S. Navy Measurement Science and Technology Laboratory (MSTL) at NSWC Corona, CA and the various weapon system programs that MSTL supports.
Material Coordinator to support The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona (NSWCCO) Division Measurement Science and Engineering Department, Interface Engineering & Assessment Division is the Navy's research, development, test, and evaluation process, providing independent assessment for nearly 50 years.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. Current U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office. Must have great interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail is a must, able to follow and adhere to strict Quality Assurance and all other related policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies for Fleet Naval Units, Internal Departments and Divisions in accordance with department supervisors' priorities and QA processes and procedures.
  • Will review receiving documentation to ensure that material received is scheduled. Confers with supervisors to determine appropriate plans of action when material received raises questions that must be addressed.
  • Receives, moves and arranges for materials to meet production schedules for calibration and repair. Monitors and controls the movement of material and parts along the production process and initiates problem reports if quantity and type of material received does not match documentation.
  • Properly prepare and process material correctly following approved QA processes for shipment. Ensures inventory, reports and locations are correct. Moves material from one department to another, using hand or industrial trucks
  • Compiles perpetual production records in order to locate material in process of production, using manual or computerized systems.
  • Maintain and file these material records.
  • Demonstrate ability to follow procedures and administrative direction in all daily duties.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail when unpacking and verifying the contents of shipments against the packing list and associated paperwork.
  • Demonstrate the ability to generate correct and complete administrative paperwork following established procedures using the proper tools provided.
  • Demonstrate the initiative to clean all assets of excess debris (wax, tags, etc.) before the storage or calibration of assets.
  • Demonstrate the ability to properly package all assets following proper U.S. Navy Packaging Guidance, ensuring all labels that are attached to the shipments are verified to be correct.
  • Provide support to special projects for all Navy programs and Interface Assessments.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • All actions are subject to regular reviews/audits by Quality Assurance personnel to ensure strict adherence to established procedures and processes.
