We currently have an opening for Shipping & Receiving Associate in our Gowanda Electronics facility, located in Gowanda, NY. This entry-level position supports daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate and timely movement of materials and finished goods.
Details of the Role: The Shipping & Receiving Associate I performs routine shipping and receiving tasks under general supervision and follows established procedures for packaging, labeling, receiving, and material handling.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Package and ship finished goods according to instructions and customer requirements
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against documentation
- Prepare basic shipping documentation such as packing slips and labels
- Move materials using carts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks
- Maintain clean and organized shipping and receiving areas
- Enter shipping and receiving data into ERP systems
- Follow all safety and PPE requirements
- Perform other shipping and material handling tasks as assigned
Qualifying Attributes and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a production or shipping environment
