JOB TITLE: Warehouse Associate
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager
LOCATION: 1031 Franke Industrial Blvd Augusta, GA 30906
JOB TYPE: Full Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00AM-5:00PM

JOB OVERVIEW:
The successful candidate will perform a variety of warehouse functions such as driving a forklift, inventory control, receiving and processing of incoming material, measuring and cutting flooring products, and loading material and supplies onto the vehicles of our subcontracted flooring installers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive and process flooring products by unloading trucks.
  • Prepare and complete flooring orders for pickup by subcontractors.
  • Measure, cut and label flooring products.
  • Perform Inventory control and other inventory related activities.
  • Load subcontractor vehicles with material and supplies for customer orders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Detail oriented, organized, easily able to juggle changing priorities
  • 1-2 years of prior warehouse job experience
  • Ability to perform basic math functions in order to measure products
  • Inventory, cycle counts, receiving and related experience
  • Ability to lift and carry products that weigh 50 to 75 lbs. on a repetitive basis
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required
  • Forklift experience is a plus, but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIROMENT:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.
The essential duties of this position require the employee to work in a non-temperature controlled warehouse environment. The environment may be hot, cold, dirty, dusty or otherwise uncomfortable. The employee is required to perform physical activities throughout each day, and must be able to lift and carry 50 to 75 pounds on a daily, repetitive basis.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen; to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, equipment or flooring materials and supplies. The employee is required to possess some dexterity in operating office equipment. The employee is required to sit and/or to stand for long periods of time; bend; stoop; climb stairs; reach with hands and arms; and frequently walk around a warehouse or office.
Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud, depending on the level of activity that is happening in the warehouse.
The employee is required to dress for the temperatures in the warehouse, while maintaining personal safety and the ability to safely perform the duties of the job. Company-provided PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and the company's safety procedures are to be employed at all times. On a daily basis, the employee is required to safely operate equipment such as sit-down forklifts fitted with carpet poles, hand trucks, RF scanners, balers, and machines designed for measuring and cutting roll carpet and sheet vinyl.
The team environment requires each employee to practice and maintain good personal hygiene.
