Job description

Nashville Wire Products, an established local manufacturer of steel wire products for the material handling industry is  accepting resumes for Shipping and Receiving Clerk at our Frankfort, Kentucky location.  This position ensures our products are provided to customers in an efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities include:   

  • loading/unloading trucks with sit down forklift
  • pulling and staging orders
  • performing inventory control functions such as cycle counting via ERP system

Selected candidates must have recent steady work history with prior experience in all functions of shipping/receiving operations. Prior experience in fast paced manufacturing shipping environment with limited supervision and a high degree of accuracy is required.  Prior recent experience loading and unloading trucks with sit down forklift in fast paced manufacturing shipping environment is required.  Experience performing inventory control and bill of lading creation  using an Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) such as SAGE is a plus.   Selected candidate must pass company provided drug screen, criminal background check, mechanical and tape measure skills test. During a regular shift this position regularly performs heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds), is required to stand on concrete floors, and may be subject to extreme temperatures as manufacturing areas are not air conditioned.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk  pay progression: $23.50 start, $24.00 at 90 days, $25.00 at 1 year.  Base schedule for this position is 6:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday – Friday, with additional overtime as required with little to no prior notice to meet customer demands. 

Full time benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance availability first of month after 30 days of service, 40 hours vacation after 6 months of service, 80 hours vacation after 1 year of service, 10 hours of paid sick time every 90 days of service until you have completed 1 year of service, then 30 hours of paid sick time annually, 401k with 100% match up to 4% following 1 year of service, 9 paid holidays, employer paid short and long term disability, and 1 year pay progression top out. We are currently offering a Double Time incentive for ALL overtime hours worked.
