Job description

The Shipping and Receiving Associate oversees and participates in all shipping and receiving functions that affect the field inventory for the organization. This role requires both computer entry skills and the fulfilment of orders in the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure all freight and UPS shipment are properly packaged and sent out in a timely manner
  • Ensure accurate inventory records
  • Key orders into warehouse management system on the computer
  • Ship company uniforms, safety equipment, and other items needed for work to field employees
  • Respond promptly and courteously to requests from internal customers
  • Keep a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Perform other labor-intensive tasks such as assembling or moving furniture, equipment, supplies, etc.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk has no direct reports.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

At least one year of shipping and receiving experience

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or education equivalent preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Must have and maintain a Driver’s License
  • Must be able to work independently in a self-directed environment
  • Must be able to prioritize work
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.
