Forklift Operator / Truck Loader – Food Manufacturing Facility

Location: Chesterfield, VA

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Overtime: Time-and-a-half after 40 hours worked, with up to 30 hours of overtime available each week

Schedule

  • Monday – Saturday (6 days per week)
  • 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

We are currently hiring dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operators and Truck Loaders to join our growing food manufacturing facility in Chesterfield, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in warehouse operations, food manufacturing, distribution, shipping and receiving, or material handling who are looking for a stable, full-time position with consistent overtime.

As a Forklift Operator, you will safely move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility while supporting daily production and warehouse operations. As a Truck Loader, you will accurately stage, load, and verify outbound shipments to ensure products are delivered safely and on time. This position plays a critical role in supporting production while maintaining inventory accuracy and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, transport, and stage raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas.
  • Perform truck loading and unloading duties while ensuring products are handled safely and accurately.
  • Load outbound trailers according to shipping schedules and customer requirements.
  • Receive inbound shipments and verify product counts and inventory accuracy.
  • Count and inspect returned inventory and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Stage materials to support production and warehouse operations.
  • Complete shipping, receiving, and load documentation accurately.
  • Maintain clean, organized loading docks, warehouse aisles, and work areas.
  • Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and material replenishment.
  • Remove cardboard, shrink wrap, pallets, and other warehouse debris to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with production and warehouse teams to meet daily production and shipping goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Forklift Operator, Truck Loader, Warehouse Associate, Material Handler, Shipping & Receiving Associate, or Order Selector preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, distribution center, or food manufacturing facility is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, or regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to accurately count inventory and complete shipping documentation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to climb a 2-foot platform and safely operate warehouse equipment.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
