Shipping amp; Receiving Tech Job Description
1st Shift
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including the following, however other duties
may apply)
  • Operate forklift to load and unload trucks.
  • Package components for outbound shipments by stacking, bundling or palletizing parts and securing them with a banding machine if necessary.
  • Accurately identify product/components for listing on load documents.
  • Build accurate shipping manifests for Epicor intercompany shipments.
  • Maintain and organize components in the load staging areas and the storage lots.
  • Verify accuracy and turn in receiving documents daily and maintain files.
  • Maintain inventory of all shipping supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of the product line and be able to make accurate component identifications.
  • Must be able to write legibly and fill out required load paperwork and receiving documents.
  • Must possess general math skills and have the ability to count correctly.
  • Must be able to read measuring devices.
  • Must have good organizational skills both for record keeping and physical inventory.
  • Must be able to work independently without continuous supervision.
  • Must have a forklift operator certification.
  • Must have general knowledge of operating an overhead crane.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
