Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for safely receiving inbound material shipments and preparing accurate outbound customer loads. This role ensures that all materials are weighed, labeled, documented, stored, or shipped in accordance with company standards. The associate works closely with production, scale operations, and trucking personnel to maintain flow of material in the facility.
Shift and Compensation
  • 2nd Shift- 3:00pm-11:30pm, Mon-Fri
    Will train on 1st (8am-4:30pm)
    $17.00/hr
Job Duties
  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    Inbound Material Receiving
    • Greet drivers, check them in, and review inbound paperwork.
    • Verify certified light and heavy scale tickets before unloading.
    • Record Vendor Name, Material, Date, and PO# on the Inventory Truck Unload Sheet.
    • Confirm that all pallets, bales, or rolls are properly labeled and counted.
    • Weigh materials as required and record gross and tare weights accurately.
    • Identify, document, and report damaged or questionable materials.
    • Scan and email inbound paperwork to the correct distribution list.
  • Outbound Shipping
    • Prepare Bill of Lading (BOL) and shipping documents accurately.
    • Verify Customer Name, Date, PO#, weights, and pallet/bale counts.
    • Load outbound trucks safely, using a forklift or pallet jack as needed.
    • Obtain light and heavy scale tickets for outside carriers before releasing paperwork.
    • Scan and email outbound documents using the approved subject line format.
    • Ensure the truck is sealed and paperwork is handed to the driver.
  • Warehouse & Material Handling
    • Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and responsibly.
    • Silo Operator
    • Maintain clean and organized dock, storage, and traffic areas.
    • Assist with staging materials for production or shipment.
    • Support cycle counts and help maintain accurate inventory levels.
