As a receiving associate, your job duties include handling packages that arrive at the facility, reviewing the contents for accuracy, and ensuring the product is delivered to the correct department. You need to be able to stand for long periods of time and carry heavy boxes. Some positions also require you to operate a forklift. To thrive as a Receiving Associate, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic math abilities, usually with a high school diploma or equivalent. Effective communication, time management, and teamwork are crucial soft skills for this role. These competencies ensure accurate inventory processing, efficient workflow, and smooth coordination within supply chain operations.
