Warehouse Receiver & Forklift Operator
Schedule: 9:00am-5:30pm, 11:00am-7:30pm 1:00pm-9:30pm Monday-Friday
Payrate: $19 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Warehouse Receiver & Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This position plays a key role in receiving inbound shipments, operating an electric forklift, organizing inventory, and maintaining an efficient warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, productivity-driven operation while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Unloading

  • Receive weekly inbound shipments and safely unload pallets from trucks using an electric forklift.
  • Inspect incoming pallets and cartons for visible damage or discrepancies.
  • Report shipping or inventory issues to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Stage received pallets in designated receiving areas.

Carton Organization

  • Sort and organize cartons according to Warehouse Manager instructions.
  • Separate products by SKU, style, purchase order, shipment, or warehouse location.
  • Ensure products are handled carefully and organized accurately.

Daily Pallet Movement

  • Retrieve designated pallets from warehouse storage at the beginning of each shift.
  • Return pallets to their assigned locations at the end of each shift.
  • Keep aisles, exits, and work areas clear and organized.
  • Report misplaced, damaged, or unstable pallets.

Pallet Rack Organization

  • Learn warehouse rack locations and inventory organization systems.
  • Consolidate inventory to maximize available storage space.
  • Relocate pallets as directed while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Safety & Warehouse Operations

  • Complete daily forklift inspections.
  • Follow all warehouse, loading dock, forklift, and pallet rack safety procedures.
  • Report unsafe conditions or damaged equipment immediately.
  • Maintain clean receiving areas, staging zones, aisles, and workstations.
  • Assist with additional warehouse and receiving duties as assigned.

Performance Expectations

Success in this role is measured by:

  • Safe and responsible forklift operation
  • Accurate carton sorting and inventory placement
  • Timely beginning- and end-of-shift pallet movement
  • Efficient utilization of pallet rack space
  • Maintaining a clean, organized warehouse

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Previous electric forklift operating experience required.
  • Current forklift certification preferred
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metric-driven warehouse environment.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and repetitive movements.
  • Ability to safely climb on and off warehouse equipment.
  • Comfortable working around forklifts, trucks, pallet racks, and active loading areas.
