Unit Notes Auto Offer off of Prescreen MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE CARDIAC DRIPS!! Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam PRIOR TO SIGNING CONTRACT (2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer. If traveler fails, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 months for CSH AZ and CSH Sac regions. There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation. If traveler fails Sim, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 mo. Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units. Floating is required. Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area (this could be in the Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, even a hallway). They staff the observation floor first, then the other units. Floating would include between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses. Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start. Floating to different units mid-shift can happen. Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible. The distance between the 2 campuses is 9 miles. Depending on traffic takes 15 minutes. All interstate. Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus.
Tele B3AUnit: CV Tele B3A # beds: 32 bed Certs: BLS, ACLS Ratios: 1:3-4 Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role. Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. Scrub Color: Navy Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs. Vents: No Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night. IV Team: No RT 24/7: Yes Pharmacy 24/7: Yes Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7. Floating: To similar or lower acuity. Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor. Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele. Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine to titrate down ONLY. No pediatrics, 15 y/o and older.
