Job description

Our company has an opening for a Heavy Equipment Operator and Concrete Laborer. Candidates should have some experience, but not required, operating a variety of heavy equipment, including front loaders, mini excavators, and bulldozers. You need to be willing to learn on the job, be reliable and motivated. At least one year of skilled labor or concrete experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Heavy Equipment & Concrete Laborer Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect large equipment before and after use to ensure they are working properly
  • Load and unload cargo and move them to the appropriate storage area
  • Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment
  • Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
  • Report needs for larger repairs to the appropriate parties
  • Demo worksites and prepare them for new concrete
  • Install rebar, expansion joints, or carbon fiber
  • Repair concrete structures
  • Apply finishing coat
  • Follow all safety protocols when using tools and equipment
  • Clean up the worksite when the project is complete

Heavy Equipment & Concrete Laborer Requirements and Qualifications

  • CDL Licensing or willingness to obtain (Preferred, not required)
  • Experience in working in Heavy Machinery (Preferred, not required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of heavy equipment operating, concrete or skilled labor experience preferred
  • Knowledge of standard construction equipment and materials
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards
  • Strong work ethic
