Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to support attorneys within its growing Real Estate Practice Group. This role will focus on commercial real estate and finance transactions, due diligence, closing coordination, document preparation, and post-closing file management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate commercial real estate and finance transactions from inception through closing.

  • Prepare transaction checklists, timelines, closing documents, and post-closing deliverables.

  • Draft and revise loan documents, settlement statements, closing statements, UCC filings (UCC-1/UCC-3), title objection letters, due diligence summaries, and loan modifications/extensions.

  • Review title commitments, ALTA/NSPS surveys, zoning and environmental reports, and corporate documentation.

  • Coordinate with lenders, title companies, attorneys, and other transaction parties to support closing and funding requirements.

  • Assemble closing binders and ensure proper recording and distribution of documents.

  • Maintain organized electronic files using iManage or NetDocuments.

  • Track billable time and assist with matter and document organization.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Paralegal Associate's Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.

  • Experience supporting commercial real estate transactions and lender representation.

  • Knowledge of title and survey review, due diligence, UCC filings, and real estate finance documentation.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Experience with SoftPro and document management systems such as iManage or NetDocuments is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and time-management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
