Real Estate Associate Attorney – New York

Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join a well-regarded law firm with a strong national presence. This role will be based in the firm's New York office and offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial leasing matters alongside a team of highly experienced real estate attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial real estate documents, with a focus on office, retail, and industrial leasing.

  • Collaborate closely with partners and other team members, while managing individual responsibilities and client relationships.

  • Assist with real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, title and survey review, and general transactional due diligence.

  • Exposure to data center leasing is a plus, though not required.

Qualifications:
  • 4–5 years of significant commercial real estate transactional experience, with an emphasis on leasing.

  • Strong writing, organizational, and analytical skills.

  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.

  • Major law firm experience preferred.

  • High academic achievement.

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Compensation:
  • Anticipated base salary range: $280,000 to $325,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
