Commercial Litigation Attorney | Beaumont or Houston, Texas

Germer PLLC is a well-established Texas firm with a strong reputation across litigation and business advisory matters. The firm represents a diverse client base across industries including construction, real estate development, banking, transportation, insurance, and commercial enterprises offering attorneys exposure to a wide range of sophisticated business disputes and litigation matters.

Position Overview

This role offers a blend of commercial litigation, construction litigation, and other business-related disputes within a collaborative and growing practice. Attorneys in this position will work on active litigation matters involving business owners, contractors, developers, lenders, and commercial clients across a variety of industries. The position provides substantial hands-on responsibility, direct client interaction, and meaningful involvement throughout the litigation process. While some matters may involve real estate or development-related disputes, the primary focus of the role is commercial and construction-related litigation.

Responsibilities may include:

• Managing commercial and business disputes through various phases of litigation in state and federal courts

• Handling construction-related disputes involving contractors, developers, project owners, subcontractors, and related business entities

• Drafting pleadings, motions, written discovery, and other litigation-related filings

• Participating in depositions, hearings, mediations, and overall case strategy

• Working directly with clients to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance throughout the course of litigation

• Assisting with disputes involving contracts, development projects, lending relationships, and other commercial matters

• Collaborating with team members while maintaining appropriate ownership over assigned matters

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation experience preferred, particularly in commercial litigation, business litigation, or construction litigation

• Experience handling core litigation responsibilities, including drafting motions, conducting discovery, taking depositions, and attending hearings

• Strong writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to independently manage assignments and communicate directly with clients

• Experience with construction-related or real estate-related disputes is a plus, but not required

• Texas bar license required
