Real Estate Development Coordinator

Secaucus, NJ – On-site

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Real Estate Development Coordinator to support the backend development process for a growing real estate organization. This is a hands-on, task-driven role focused on keeping projects moving efficiently from pre-construction through completion. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of relevant real estate development or backend construction experience preferred, is extremely organized and detail-oriented, and can teach themselves, solve problems, and figure out what needs to be done without being constantly directed. You will coordinate closely with general contractors, architects, insurance brokers, banks, and ownership to ensure permits, documentation, funding draws, approvals, and other requirements are handled properly and nothing falls through the cracks.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate pre-construction planning and project setup
  • Track permits, approvals, contracts, and required documentation
  • Assist with insurance applications, binding, certificates, and renewals
  • Work closely with general contractors to provide required information and documentation
  • Follow up with architects, contractors, insurance brokers, and other project professionals
  • Maintain project timelines, checklists, budgets, and development files
  • Track outstanding items and ensure each project continues moving forward
  • Coordinate backend development requirements through project completion
  • Work with banks on funding draws and related timelines
  • Provide administrative and operational support throughout the development process
  • Proactively identify what is needed to keep projects moving forward

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of relevant real estate development or backend construction experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of real estate development and construction processes, including plans, permits, and funding draws
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong ability to manage paperwork, documentation, and follow-up
