We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time General Manager based in our store located at (4000 N West St, Jackson, MS 39206). As a General Manager you'll be the face of the store and the engine behind the store's success. You'll lead daily operations, drive sales growth, create amazing customer experience and mentor your team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about customer service, energized by sales, enthusiastic about leadership, and eager to keep learning. At Devon Self Storage, you will:
Lead The Business
  • Oversee daily store operations, including opening, closing and securing the facility.
  • Drive sales performance through rentals, protection plans, and other merchandise!
  • Maintain compliance, safety standards and operational excellence.
  • Resolve customer escalations in a professional, efficiently and in a timely manner.

Serve & Support Customers
  • Build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships by helping customers find the right storage solutions.
  • Deliver a personalized, high-touch customer experience.
  • Process payments, balance receipts & complete bank deposit drops.

Coach & Develop
  • Coach, train and mentor your property's Assistant General Manager
  • Help your team to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Train staff on compliance, safety policies and procedures.

Own the details
  • Ensure products are ordered, received, stocked, priced and displayed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Partner with the auction vendor and Regional Director throughout the complete auction process-from notices and collections to buyer payouts and preparing units for new tenants.

Property & Facility Requirements
  • Physical requirements include daily property walkthroughs to conduct safety inspections, lock checks, cleaning the units and
  • Open and close storage doors as well as completing tasks that require lifting 30+ lbs
  • Perform light maintenance includes mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning bathrooms and other lite maintenance and landscaping duties.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to regularly perform indoors and outdoors with exposure to adverse environmental conditions, weather, noise extremes and chemical, debris and traffic hazards.
