Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 5+ years of commercial real estate experience to join a highly regarded Real Estate practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated real estate transactions representing regional, national, and multinational clients across a broad range of industries.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling complex commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing and enjoy working in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Handle a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions from start to finish.
  • Represent clients in:
    • Acquisitions and dispositions
    • Commercial leasing
    • Real estate development
    • Real estate financing
  • Draft, review, and negotiate:
    • Purchase and sale agreements
    • Commercial leases
    • Development agreements
    • Easements
    • Declarations
    • Legal opinions
    • Closing documents
  • Conduct and analyze real estate due diligence, including:
    • Title and survey review
    • Zoning analysis
    • Existing lease review
    • Environmental diligence
    • Transaction authorizations
  • Support mergers and acquisitions involving real estate assets.
