Job description

Position Overview

Our firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney with substantial experience in complex commercial real estate acquisitions and development. Construction experience is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating and closing complex real estate transactions, drafting, and negotiating construction-related agreements, and advising clients through all phases of development projects, including large-scale, multi-phase, or capital-intensive developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with an established practice who is looking to grow within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment that allows for practice expansion and cross-practice collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions
  • Advise clients on real estate development projects from inception through completion
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, leases, easements, and related transactional documents
  • Conduct due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning, and land use analysis
  • Coordinate and close complex real estate transactions
  • Provide strategic counsel to developers, investors, landlords, and business owners, private equity sponsors, and institutional capital partners
  • Structure and negotiate real estate related and real estate financing arrangements
  • Advise on performance bonds, indemnity structures, liquidated damages, delay claims, change orders, and construction risk allocation
  • Advise on site control agreements, ground leases, easements, rights-of-way, and utility agreements for infrastructure and energy-related projects
  • Experience with public-private partnerships (P3), concession agreements, and municipal development frameworks preferred
  • Support business development initiatives and expand firm market presence in commercial real estate and construction sectors

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar
  • Significant experience in commercial real estate transactions and development

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
