Shift Leader-Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Pay: $15.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on relevant restaurant, customer service, leadership, and/or kitchen experience. Final rate will be based on experience, availability, position, and business needs.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers® was co-founded in 2002 by brothers Bill and Randy Simon with their friend and business partner, Scott Redler. It was named in honor of Bill and Randy’s father. Together, they built a brand focused on quality, hospitality, cleanliness and timeless traditions.

Freddy’s is looking for Shift Leaders to assist management with the day-to-day operations of the restaurant by providing leadership, motivating team members and meeting operational expectations. The position also works to control labor and food costs, build relationships with guests, handle guest issues and serve as a model of hospitality. Shift Leader Responsibilities

  • Promote the culture of Freddy’s.
  • Lead with integrity, honesty, and professionalism. 
  • Arrive on time and ready to work each scheduled shift. 
  • Follow all food safety, health, and cleanliness standards. 
  • Greet guests, take orders, and process payments accurately. 
  • Help operate registers and support food preparation stations. 
  • Prepare, package, and serve food and beverages to brand standards. 
  • Stock supplies, unload deliveries, and organize inventory as needed. 
  • Check food quality throughout the shift to ensure freshness and safety. 
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members. 
  • Maintain a clean restaurant, dining room, restrooms, kitchen, and exterior areas. 
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of menu items, promotions, and brand standards. 
  • Support coworkers and help wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly. 
  • Open and close restaurant areas, including doors, storage areas, coolers, and freezers. 

Shift Leader Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old. 
  • Friendly, positive and team focused.
  • Professional appearance and attitude. 
  • Willing to learn and work multiple stations. 
  • 1 or more years of guest service experience.
  • Restaurant or hospitality experience preferred. 
  • Enjoys working with people and serving quality food. 
  • Self-motivated and driven with natural leadership ability. 
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

Physical Demands

  • Stand for extended periods during shifts. 
  • Follow proper lifting and safety procedures. 
  • Bend, reach, and pick up supplies or trash as needed. 
  • Carry products, boxes, and supplies weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 15 pounds frequently.
